Description
Matrix HR is recruiting experienced commercial journeyperson and apprentice carpenters for a long-standing Company in Vancouver BC. The latest in design and construction innovation, on time construction completion and superior before and after sales.


Responsibilities:


  • Experience with Commercial Carpentry scopes is a requirement.
  • Provide a safe work environment, maintaining "Safety First" for your team by identifying ongoing hazards, mitigation and participating in all safety meetings.
  • Frame according to blueprints.
  • Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel and other materials.
  • Install windows, doors, feature walls/ceiling shiplap, beams, handrails, liners, casings and baseboards, mouldings, typical joining work for finishing and hardware.
  • Collaborate with the construction team for on time completion and seamless integration.
  • Ability to work with multiple trades on site.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to junior team members.
  • Flexibility in roles and responsibilities as required by Site Supervisor.

Experience:


  • Commercial and Industrial experience
  • Exceptional construction and building code knowledge.
  • Building units, party walls, corridors
  • Commercial metal frame and door construction.
  • Precision hardware installation.
  • Experience working with power tools.
  • Experience working in all weather conditions.
  • Not afraid of heights.
  • Able to lift 50+ pounds.
  • Working knowledge of construction documents, drawings, and specifications.
  • Capable of identifying concerns and generating solutions.

Requirements:


  • Own tools
  • Valid BC Drivers License
  • Journeyperson Carpenter Ticket OR Apprentice Carpenter
  • CSTS
  • WHMIS
  • Fall Protection
