KIDS WITHOUT LIMITS IS HIRING
Are you a super fun and reliable caregiver wanting to work with kids with special needs and make a difference for them and their families? Then we want you on our Respite Team


What You Have:

- experience and background in intellectual and developmental disability, seizure disorders, safe lift and transfers, g-tube changes and use, and medication administration.
- knowledge and practical experience in a variety of mobility and daily living equipment/tasks, including, but not limited to wheelchair use, commode, lifts and transfers, bed safety (gaps, rail securing etc.), knowledge of good diet for soft and minced, and thickened fluids
- a warm, friendly and supportive attitude.
- a creative and confident approach to challenges and problem solving, and endless patience.
- reliable personal vehicle
- first Aid with CPR Level C certification.
- a clean Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector
- child Intervention Check.


Duties:

- supervise and care for children in clients residence, bathing, dressing and feeding
- assist the child in personal hygiene
- tend to the emotional well-being of the child and support their development
- may be required to keep records of daily activities and health information regarding each child

Salary:
$20.00 per hour

  • Weekends as needed

Experience:

- health care aide: 1 year (required)


Licence/Certification:

  • Driving Licence (required)
- criminal record check completed within 60 days (preferred)
