The Aerospace and Defense engineering team within Hexagon's Autonomy & Positioning division is looking for a Project Coordinator to join our high-tech engineering and manufacturing company that is committed to customer service excellence and continuous improvement. This role is ideal for someone who is self-motivated, focused on results, wants to grow a career in project management, and thrives on seeing exciting projects through to completion. In this role, reporting to the Senior Director, Aerospace and Defense Engineering, you will be responsible for assisting the Aerospace and Defense Project Managers with their projects as per description outlined below.

Within the Autonomy & Positioning division, your work will contribute to the operation of our brand(s) NovAtel, AutonomouStuff, VERIPOS and Antcom.

The Location

Hexagon is a global company with locations around the world. This position is based in Calgary, AB.

Responsibilities

The Project Coordinator will be responsible for:

1. Developing, maintaining, and tracking project schedules and costs.
2. Ensuring project data is up-to-date, consistent, accurate, and overseen to the granularity required by the project.
3. Preparing dashboards and summaries of project data, metrics, and status to support stakeholder communication.
4. Maintaining meeting minutes and action registers to help organize the work of the project team.
5. Assisting the Project Manager with preparing budgets, forecasts, managing scope, risk, and contract changes.
6. Effectively collaborating with stakeholders and cross-functional development teams to ensure project success.
7. Supporting the Project Manager throughout the project life cycle including project set-up, monitoring and controlling, and project close-out.
8. Supporting the project teams with identifying the needs for product prototypes and ensuring those needs are met by coordinating with prototyping resources.
9. Actively contributing to ongoing continuous improvement initiatives, both by identifying new opportunities, and leading or assisting with implementations.

Qualifications

Must-Have:

• Post-secondary education (university or technical college) in engineering, computer science, business or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of experience in a Product Development or Project Management environment.
• Intermediate to Advanced knowledge in Excel and/or PowerBI.
• Ability to work effectively with team members across time zones.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to influence others without direct authority.

Nice-to-Have:

• B.Sc. in Engineering or Computer Science.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Project.
