    Description

    As a systems and infrastructure operations, maintenance and development database administrator, you support IT efficiency by designing, configuring, administering, maintaining and upgrading computer networks, management systems and database servers in accordance with the organization's needs. You plan, design, modify, implement, update and develop data structures for important projects and initiatives in medium- to large-scale database environments. You install, configure and support database management systems. You ensure that the organization's databases are secure, accurate, consistent, maintained and used optimally. You plan and prioritize work to meet objectives. Your projects and initiatives require extensive knowledge of your line of work. You help solve complex problems using your analytical skills and extensive knowledge of your line of business. Coordination is critical, so you frequently interact with stakeholders working in other fields. You serve as resource person to the IT development team for database modifications and new development. More specifically, you will be required to :

  • Create and maintain medium- to large-scale data environments
  • Analyze and operationalize data structures for target environments
  • Install, configure and support data structures for target environments and applications, ensuring their security and integrity
  • Advise practitioners on database management, use and access
  • Develop data migration plans and monitor the integrity of data structures
  • Draft and update system and database documentation
  • Advise and support the IT development team for database modifications and new development
  • Automate data structure activities

    What you bring to the table

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field
  • A minimum of four years of relevant experience
  • Please note that other combinations of qualifications and relevant experience may be considered
  • Knowledge of French is required
