Analytics Translator


Reporting to the Data and Squad Operations Lead, the Analytics Translator role will bridge the technical data scientist information and the primary and secondary market research data with that of their operational expertise of marketing.

The role will be to identify, prioritize and address critical business needs that analytics can solve by working in close partnership with Product Squad(s), Customer Squad(s) Data Scientists, Insights Analysts, and other stakeholders to gather deep insights and build solutions that the business can execute on and implement.

What you will do:


  • Define customer engagement business needs that analytics can help solve, work in partnership with Data Science and the Insights Analyst in the creation of analyticsdriven solutions to these needs, and integrate solutions into actionable customer engagement blueprints and drive adoption.
  • Actively participate in the Product Squad with a mindset of shared accountability, to achieve the longterm vision/outcome needed to deliver on Bayer's mission.
  • Ensure endtoend execution and delivery of customer engagement blueprints through appropriate integration of core brand strategies and relevant available data to drive optimal omnichannel activity and return on investment/impact.
  • Lead quarterly Learning Cycle and Campaign/Journey Retrospectives to inform next iteration of 90day missions and support agile decision making.
  • Lead multistakeholder interactions between technical data and analytics teams (local and global) and functional experts (sales, marketing, and medical) on all data, segmentation & performance topics and bridge the different expertise.
  • Collaborate with local & global data scientists to ensure all data science analytics projects are developed according to business requirements, aligned to brand strategy, and effectively communicated. Analytics translators are responsible for the implementation of these projects.
  • Be a conduit between local and global analytics translation functions to search out and share best practice examples by collaborating with analytics teams to review and evaluate global Learning Cycle library/repository.
  • Identify and evaluate data needs and analysis to continuously improve the experience and enhance the impact that our omnichannel activities deliver to our customers.
  • Identify and refine business use cases for artificial intelligence and machine learning (AI/ML), specifically to support customer engagement strategies and the development of customer engagement blueprints.
  • Collaborate with Data Scientists to ensure all data science analytics projects are developed according to business requirements, aligned to brand strategy, and effectively communicated and implemented. Help the organization continue its evolution towards an analytical and datadriven culture by continuously upskilling and helping stakeholders understand the strengths and considerations of analytics approaches.

Who you are:


  • 8+ years experience in sales & marketing strategy, project management and analytics in the pharmaceutical industry; consulting experience preferred; MBA would be considered a strong asset
  • 3+ years experience in data science and business translator roles preferred
  • Capability to translate technical solutions and design choices to business implications and vice versa
  • Extensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical industry, relevant data sources, and advanced analytics use cases
  • Excellent problem solving, critical thinking, and communication skills, specifically the ability to explain complex analytical concepts and drive experimentation and adoption
  • Demonstrated experience with agile or other rapid development methods
  • Bilingualism in French/English is a strong asset
