Kitchen Helper - Toronto, Canada - One King West Hotel & Residence
Description
Ensure cleanliness and sanitization of Kitchens and dishwashing areas- Works closely with Cooks, Kitchen Supervisors and Chef de Partie to ensure clean equipment
- Ensure garbage is removed in a timely manner to the appropriate bin
- Make sure kitchen floors are clean throughout all shifts
- Responsible for breakdown if breakfast buffet daily
- Assists cooks with light food prep duties
- Storage and retrieval of products from B2 and dry storage area
- Responsible for opening and closing duties and checklists
- Assists cooks with plating banquet functions
- Perform any other duties assigned by management
SPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to follow trained cleaning and sanitization techniquesReceives and stores food on fresh in fresh out basis. Ability to Work Independently and Possess Excellent Interpersonal Skills
EXPERIENCE:
- High School Diploma or work related experience equivalent
- Ability to communicate in the English language
- Ability to lift and carry products up to 25lbs
- Ability to follow set health, safety practices
