    Are you a Solutions Architect looking for a new opportunity?
    Are you looking for a new contract opportunity?

    We are pleased to offer you a new contract opportunity for you to consider: Solutions Architect

    • Start: ASAP
    • Estimated length: 9 months
    • Location: Halifax
    • Hybrid role
    Fulltime for the first 3 months and then part-time (50%) for the remainder of the 6 months.

    Responsibilities


    • Translating functional requirements into technical requirements and specifications.
    • Creating and updating technical backlog items in GitLab.
    • Database schema and data definition review and recommendations.
    • Database mapping and migration from existing to proposed solutions.
    • Assist with defining and establishing reporting and analytics strategy.
    • Engage and support in Architectural Review Board (ARB) and compliance requirements.
    • Assist building and refining the backlog in GitLab, including identifying dependencies.
    • Provide the guidance and guidelines of technical solutions to the development team.
    • Architectural Review Board (ARB) documentation as required.
    • Database migration and mapping documentation.
    • Participating in peer-review and code-review sessions as needed.
    Qualifications


    • Proven abilities in working with technical teams (eg., business analysts, designers, software
    developers, etc).


    • Strong technical requirements gathering, planning, and documentation skills.
    • Demonstrated prior experience translating functional requirements into technical requirements
    and specifications.


    • Ability to deliver within tight timelines.
    • Demonstrated experience working in multi-disciplinary team environments.
    • Strong interpersonal skills and able to establish and maintain strong working relationships with
    project team and business representatives.


    Nice to haves:

    • Experience in digital service design and delivery using Agile methodologies (eg. Scrum).
    • Experience with open-source tech stack - Python, Django, MySQL, OpenShift, GitLab, and Figma.
    • Experience helping teams manage outcomes, identifying dependencies, prioritizing deliverables,
    and working to an agreed upon minimum viable product (MVP) scope.


    • Experience working with Public Sector software deployments.
    • Skilled in Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Teams, Visio (or similar), and other collaboration tools.
