As a member of the Landscape Enhancements team, you will be responsible for assisting in the completion of landscape enhancements, lawn and garden renovations, enhancements, softscape and hardscape installations, tree, shrub & perennial pruning, & organic pest management methods.

Together, with a team of hard-working, passionate individuals you will be supported by an experienced Foreperson to train and develop your skills.

You also will have the opportunity to become an apprentice and to get Red Seal certified in Landscape Horticulture.


Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Assist the Landscape Enhancements Foreperson in managing safety, quality and productivity of work at sites and/ or shop/yard
  • Landscape installations and renovations softscape duties including but not limited to: pruning, trimming, sod installations, plantings, general property maintenance.

Some hardscape installations including but not limited to:
stepper installation, small paver projects, boulder installations and minor property enhancements.

  • Operate power equipment including, but not limited to, blowers, lawn mowers, line trimmers, pruning saws, aerators, power rakes, cut off saws, tampers and power tools
  • Perform other manual duties to clean and maintain landscape installation environments, shop and equipment
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times
  • Be willing to work outside in all weather conditions (given it is safe to do so)
  • Comply with all company policies and regulations

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent
  • Minimum 23 years' experience in landscape maintenance & construction
  • Landscape knowledge and experience in maintenance, planting, and construction
  • Competent in the use of power tools as referenced above
  • Effective communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • Knowledge of specific materials, methods, tools and equipment required to complete various landscape installations, maintenance, enhancements with planting and small hardscape installations
  • Physically fit with strong stamina and able to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to follow safe and working procedures
  • Excellent observation skills and a strong attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently with little supervision, and as part of a team
  • Speak, read, and write English
  • Valid drivers license is required
  • Ability to get to head office or site is required (car pooling or pickups is not a responsibility of the company)

Salary information:
$ $32.00 per hour (wage is dependent on experience)

Salary:
$25.00-$32.00 per hour
