As a member of the Project Management Office (PMO), the Business Analyst is responsible for leading and coordinating analysis activities including, but not limited to, identifying, analyzing and documenting stakeholder requirements; support current and future state workflow analysis and lead data collection; provide guidance and conduct testing processes and support stakeholder engagement for various projects in alignment with corporate strategy and plans.

The Business Analyst will be required to take initiative and collaborate closely with other members of the project team, project sponsors, PMO Team, leaders from IT departments and clinical business units, and stakeholder group.

Experience in Healthcare and/or Health informatics preferred.


DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:


Business Analyst Strategies

  • Develops and supports the execution of business analysis strategies and activities required for organizational projects and initiatives
  • Supports stakeholders and clients through internal consultation processes to research and define business requirements, review current and future state workflows, plan and execute testing processes and consult throughout project lifecycle
  • Adapt to ever changing business and technology landscape
  • Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, documentation and presentations to project sponsors and senior executives

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Identifies stakeholders impacted by project activities and deliverables
  • Facilitates requirements gathering and development sessions with stakeholders
  • Manages stakeholders and clients through internal consultation on project related analysis activities, discuss and resolve issues, report on progress and consults throughout project lifecycle
  • Engage project stakeholders to facilitate adoption of new systems and processes

Risk / Issue Management

  • Anticipates and troubleshoots issues, provides ongoing expertise, resolves problems, and improves project effectiveness
  • Identifies and assesses risks, and recommends mitigation measures for approval by project leadership
  • Exercises risk management by providing recommendations based on an evaluation of risk and an understanding of business implications of risk

Organizational Leadership in Business Analysis

  • Participate in development of business analysis materials, templates, training and communication for organization
  • Provides coaching, mentoring and education to other organizational areas with regards to business analysis methodologies and best practices

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Completion of University degree or equivalent
  • 35 years of practical or position related experience
  • Business analysis theory, methods, techniques, standards and best practices related to all phases of a project life cycle
  • Leadership skills to support the work of project staff and teams
  • Critical thinking and problemsolving skills
  • Communication, consultation, negotiation, and mediation skills
  • Persuasion, advisory, and relationship management skills
  • Business Analysis tools and applicable software (i.e. Microsoft Visio, Microsoft Excel)

- (preferred)
  • Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA) OR Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) OR Certified Professional in Health Information Management Systems (CPHIMS-CA) OR Certified Analytics Professional (CAP) OR Professional in Business Analysis (PBA) or equivalent.

- (preferred)
  • Experience in Healthcare and/or Health Informatics
  • Proven ability to attend work regularly.
  • Satisfactory criminal reference check and vulnerable sector search required.
