Curriculum Development Specialist
***Reporting to the Associate Dean, Centre for Professional Advancement, the Curriculum Development Specialist will contribute to the development of specialized curriculum for a new program.


The incumbent will provide clinical expertise Rehabilitation Centred Care process and practice, including assessment, care planning, ethics, communication, patient as partner concepts, interprofessional collaboration and shared scope of practice.


Responsibilities:

The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

  • Work as a team member with the Associate Dean, Program Manager and other specialists for curriculum design and learning technologies to provide expert support in the development of specialized programming
  • As the Subject matter expert, conceptualize, plan, design, develop and revise curriculum using formal methodologies
  • Establish curriculum process and structure standards.
  • Work with Curriculum Development Specialists in the design of assessment instruments appropriate to outcomesbased programs and courses
  • Responsible for the evaluation and selection of learning resources.
  • Work with Curriculum specialists to incorporate principles of learning theory in designing online delivery.

Qualifications:


  • Allied Health Professional with expertise in a Rehabilitation Care environment.
  • Teaching experience at the postsecondary level.
  • Leadership and handson experience in curriculum development at the postsecondary level
  • Experience using a Learning Management System (preferably Brightspace by D2L).
  • Experience with assessment design.
  • Strong planning, timemanagement, writing, and presentation skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to demonstrate his or her experience as an effective leader and team member.
  • Demonstrated commitment and understanding of human rights, equity, diversity and inclusion with the ability to communicate and work effectively with diverse groups of students, employees and the community.
