_Billing Associate_
How does the role impact the organization?
Under the direction of and reporting to Senior Manager, Correspondent Services, the Billing Associate will be instrumental in supporting customer billing functions at RJCS
Principal responsibilities will include:
bill customers; attend to customer billing and audit requests; onboard new customers to billing platform; collaborate on customer billing enhancements; providing support for cost models and analysis; and provide on-going financial analysis and assistance to RJCS.
What will your role be responsible for?
- Compile and deliver monthly and quarterly billing reports to RJCS customers and RJCS management;
- Manage and triage RJCS Billing team inbox;
- Assess and solution billing queries from RJCS customers and RJCS management;
- Create journal entries to support billing functions;
- Monitor customer control accounts;
- Evaluate and prepare customer earnings for RJCS management assessment;
- Validate and implement customer billing infrastructure;
- Evaluate and fulfill customer audit requests;
- Exercise high degree of billing administration protocol compliance;
- Provide guidance and support to RJCS Relationship team for operational mandates tied to billing;
- Create Dataphile queries to support fulfillment of analytics requirements;
- Maintain internal cost models with business unit earnings statements from Finance;
- Assist in data collection for RJCS financial planning, business development and budgeting;
- Monitor and evaluate potential revenue leakage; and
- Participate in creation of billing protocol documentation.

What do we expect from you?
To qualify for this opportunity, you possess:
- Keen interest in analytics coupled with a high degree of attention to detail;
- Excellent critical thinking, analytical and problemsolving skills;
- An undergraduate degree in a relevant field (e.g., Commerce, Finance, Accounting, Science, Engineering etc.);
- Knowledge of MS Suite:
- Advanced Excel skills:
- Functions;
- Pivot tables;
- VBA knowledge (ability to understand/write basic VBA code) or commitment to undertake training;
- Charting;
- Proficiency in Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Access;
- Demonstrated capabilities to multitask, work independently under pressure, and prioritize tight competing deadlines, while maintaining a high level of customer service;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; and
- Financial services and Dataphile experience are assets but not required.
