A Day in the Life


As a Data Analyst at UFCW 1518, you will do more than just crunch numbers; you will establish UFCW 1518's data governance and best practices; you will be a strategic partner, collaborating and communicating with each of the departments.

Your ability to interpret and communicate complex data to diverse audiences sets you apart. You are a data steward, dedicated to upholding the highest data governance standards.

Your knack for mining and analyzing data, coupled with your expertise in developing policies and processes, will be crucial in shaping our data strategy.


Here's what you can expect to dig into in this exciting, hands-on role:


  • Data Governance: Develop and implement robust policies and processes to ensure data quality, integrity, accuracy, security, and compliance.

Data Stewardship:Act as a steward of data, overseeing its lifecycle and ensuring responsible use across the organization.

Data Mining and Analysis: Dive into large datasets, extracting valuable insights to inform decision-making processes.

Report Creation:Create clear and concise reports from raw data, presenting findings in a meaningful way for diverse audiences within the organization.

Effective Communication: Clearly and concisely communicate complex data findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Collaboration:Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and contribute to a data-driven culture.


What You Bring to the Table :
Bachelor's degree or technical certificate in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field; or commensurate practical experience.

  • 5 years' experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
  • Experience in developing and implementing data governance policies and processes.
  • Strong proficiency in data analysis techniques, tools and languages (e.g., Python, R, SQL).
  • Ability to create comprehensive reports for multiple stakeholders and departments from raw data.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data findings in a clear and compelling manner.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

It's a Bonus If You Have:

  • Previous experience in a union or labor-related environment.
  • Knowledge of data protection regulations.
