What You Will Get To Do
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Treasury Services, the Part-Time Accounting Clerk is responsible for providing support to various Treasury Services accounting functions (Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Capital Accounting, etc.), especially during the implementation of the Town's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, Workday.
- Process daily deposits
- Perform accounts payable functions as required, such as working in the financial and purchase order system to enter invoices, cheque requisitions, process payments, employee reimbursements, journal entries and adjustments;
- Balance, prepare reconciliations and reports for accounts and statements on a recurring basis;
- Prepare and ensure accuracy and timely submission of various reports and returns;
- Respond to inquiries from staff, vendors and customers and others;
- Work and liaise with the team, other departments, customers and vendors to resolve any issues/disputes;
- Prepare working papers and provides assistance as needed with external auditor
- Provides other backup support within Treasury Services as needed; and,
- Other duties as assigned.

What You Bring To Our TeamAs the successful applicant, you must possess:
- A three year post-secondary diploma/degree in Accounting, Finance or other equivalent with Accounting Major;
- Completion or enrolment in the Municipal Accounting and Finance Program (MAFP);
- A minimum of two (2) years of directly related work experience, preferably in a Municipal finance environment; and
