Job Description:

Under the responsible charge of a Professional Engineer, the responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:

Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives
Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids
Carry out structural analysis of Transportation structures such as bridges, culverts, retaining walls
Inspection and evaluation of structures
Report preparation
Prepare engineering related calculations and develop drawings and visual aids
Must have basic knowledge of industry standard computer software for the position (structural analysis and design software such as MIDAS, SFrame etc.)
Knowledge of reinforced concrete, pre-stressed concrete and structural steel design

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with an emphasis in structural engineering or other related field

Preferred Requirements:

Capable of using spreadsheet, word processing and standard office software
Assignments are designed to further develop judgment and understanding of professional and ethical responsibilities.
Exercise judgment limited to developing details of work in making preliminary selections and adaptations of engineering alternatives
Underground Structure knowledge
Bridge engineering knowledge
