Description:

We are looking for a
Junior Buyer who is a self-starter and enjoys analyzing data to improve efficiencies and support 17 branches in the procurement of inventory.

Accountabilities:

Procure a variety of buy lines, under direction of Management, and according to Company procurement best practices.
Analyze procurement data, under direction from Management, including competitive analysis on products and services within the HVAC/R industry.
Support the sales and management to ensure inventory levels are at optimum levels under the direction of the Director of Operations.
Analyze freight purchases, making recommendations under direction from Management.
Provide backup support to Pricing Analyst along with Project Lead.
Provide vacation relief for buyers.
Use Phocas to analyze overall purchasing information under direction from Management.
Support the Sales & Procurement teams to ensure obsolete inventory is addressed timely.
Support other duties as required.

Requirements:

Strong analytical skills, including a strong adherence to confidentiality, ethics, open mindedness, and detail.

Experience with HVACR inventory.
Highly proficient computer skills
Ability to quickly learn new software programs including Eclipse (ERP).
Demonstrated strategic thinking and multitasking ability.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional organizational and planning abilities.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with a wide variety of personalities and build relationships across the organization.
Must be selfdirected, selfmotivated, and have proven ability to practice sound judgment in making decisions while working independently.
