Quality Control Administrator

Reporting to:
Quality Control Manager, Construction


Location: 9094 Cavanagh Road

The
Quality Control Administrator will support and ensure that QC/QA complies with the Contract.

They will Inspect and monitor various job sites in accordance with the corporate Quality Management System (QMS) and project Quality Management Plan (QMP).

This is a vital role to collect and formulate data and provide information to the Project teams.


Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Collect, input, and maintain accurate quality documentation, ensuring compliance to contract drawings and specifications
  • Inspect and monitor materials and production to ensure all construction activities are conducted according to contract specifications, project QMP and corporate QMS
  • Conduct quality audits by identifying, documenting, and providing solutions for Non-Conformances (NCRs),
  • Corrective Action Requirements (CARs) and Preventative Actions (PARs)
  • Other duties as required

Requirements:


  • Engineering degree or technical diploma in construction management, construction engineering or civil engineering is considered an asset
  • Prior experience in Asphalt, Concrete or Quality Control is required
  • Ability to interpret project contract terms, conditions, specifications, and project drawings etc.
  • Basic knowledge of various construction disciplines, QA procedures, QC principles, quality plan development, quality inspection activities etc. is needed
  • Sense of urgency and strong commitment to achieving goals and objectives
  • Attention to detail, and superior organization skills to work well with shifting priorities and rapid change
  • Strong ability to work with a highly functional team
  • Good communication skills
  • Valid Class G driver's license and clean driving record
  • Ability to work nightshifts and weekends
