- Assist in the delivery of road/highway design and transportation planning projects.
- Prepare engineering designs and drawings using computer aided design tools.
- Prepare construction contract documents and engineering specifications.
- Perform transportation engineering analysis and quantification tasks.
- Complete civil construction project inspections.
- Coordination of the delivery of transportation projects with the internal and external project team.
- Degree in Civil Engineering or Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology.
- Eligibility for E.I.T., P.Eng. or C.E.T. designation is an asset.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in roadway design and/or transportation planning.
- Knowledgeable in the application of transportation engineering principles and design standards.
- Knowledgeable in the application of computer aided design programs including AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Knowledge in traffic modeling software (HCS, Synchro, VISSIM or EMME/3) would be an asset.
- Civil construction project experience would be an asset.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to generate high quality work.
- Ability to work both individually and as a member of a larger team.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Knowledgeable in the use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
