- Completion of degree in Civil Engineering or other engineering disciplines directly related to highways and transportation from an accredited Canadian University. Preferably in the discipline of Civil Engineering.
- Competence with various computer applications related to engineering (e.g. Microsoft Office, databases, drafting).
- Experience related to highway, Geotechnical and/or bridge design, construction and maintenance is an asset.
- Experience as an Engineer in Training or similar type position is considered an asset.
- Strong administrative and communications skills
- Strong written skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as independently
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure
- Must possess and maintain a valid Yukon Class 5 driver's license or equivalent
- Must be eligible for registration as an Engineer in Training with Engineers Yukon
- Valid Standard First Aid ticket (within 6 months of hire)
- Proof of completion of Engineering degree from an accredited Canadian university
