The Cancer Clinical Research Unit (CCRU) Kit Squad oversees all aspects of supply and equipment management for biopsecimen collections, which are performed during treatment on a clinical trial.

The Clinical Research Study Assistant will participate in the daily operation of the CCRU Kit Squad.

Responsibilites include, but are not limited to, receiving inventory from the hospital receiving department, putting inventory away, sorting supplies, fufilling orders, delivering kits to clinical trials staff for patient appointments and/or procedures, ordering supplies from external vendors, monitoring and maintaining inventory, and ensuring that storage and work areas are kept organized and tidy.

All duties require an exceptional level of attention to detail, which must be maintained in a fast-paced environment. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills are paramount.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • At minimum, a completion of a Bachelor's degree program, or recognized equivalent in health or science related discipline is preferred
  • 6months of experience in inventory management
  • 12years of customer service experience, preferably in a hospital setting
  • Experience in some or all of oncology, clinical trials, and biomedical terminology is considered an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal, listening, and communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational, time management and problem solving skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, perform concurrent tasks, while maintaining attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with others in assisting with the delivery of services
  • Ability to remain calm and composed when dealing with difficult people or situations
  • Proficiency with MS Office software required
  • Ability to meet daily physical demands of job: push, pull, and lift moderate weight objects (up to 30lbs), walk, stand, and crouch for moderate periods of time
