The Contracts Manager role on the Internet of Things (IoT) space is an individual contributor who works alongside the Wireless Contracts Team.

The Contracts Manager would oversee a portfolio of custom corporate agreements with business, enterprise, and government clients nationally.

Working in close partnership with various internal stakeholders (notably Sales, Corporate Pricing, Product, Legal, Regulatory, Finance, Procurement, and the Leadership Teams), you will advise on risk, exposure, and compliance for wireless corporate contracts, specializing in the Internet of Things.


Responsibilities:


  • Draft, deliver, and review custom corporate agreements, under tight timelines.
  • Cooperate and collaborate with internal stakeholders with respect to commercial legal aspects of a deal.
  • Advise on compliance, risk, strategy, and positioning of contractual terms to assist internal teams in decisionmaking.
  • Assist and participate in negotiations with corporate customers with a view of minimizing risk to the firm.
  • Collaborate with Product and Legal teams to draft and review terms and conditions for new product offerings.
  • Support the development and negotiation of complex legal agreements for services and related products required by the firm.
  • Maintain key contract information for all corporate contracts nationally.
  • Develop legal contractual responses for Request for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Recommend changes to standard contract templates based on regulatory and technological landscape, business practices, as well as with a view of assuring revenue to the firm.
  • Provide training to internal teams to ensure compliance, and an understanding of contractual issues and processes.

Knowledge, Required Skills & Abilities:


  • Fluent Bilingual (English/French) mandatory.
  • Law degree (LLB or JD) from an accredited university.
  • Member in good standing of a Canadian bar association or law society.
  • 25 years of experience in contract management and strong understanding of Contract and Commercial law.
  • Experience in developing and implementing policies and procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail with emphasis on accuracy and quality.
  • Highly developed critical thinking, due diligence, and problemsolving ability.
  • Exceptional written, oral, and listening communication skills.
  • Excellent negotiation and influence skills. Must be able to take a lead role in recommending course of action during complex negotiations.
  • Ability to function in a fastpaced, multifaceted work environment, often working independently.
  • Proven ability to work crossfunctionally, collaborate with various stakeholders and strong ability to interact effectively with all levels of the Organization including Executive Management.
  • Ability to effectively and efficiently manage multiple priorities and high volume of demands from Sales and Customers under highpressure situations, all while meeting challenging timeline commitments.
  • Comfortable working in ever evolving circumstances, able to handle complex situations independently and determine which issues require escalations, what to resolve and accordingly make suggestions for improvements.

Great-to-haves:


  • Undergraduate degree in Business or related field.
  • Wireless industry experience and knowledge of telecommunications.
  • Intermediate level of understanding of Internet of Things (IoT) technology within the Telecommunications field, and knowledge of Procurement practices.
  • Knowledge of regulatory and privacy laws.
  • You must be performing at standard in your current role for a minimum of 12 months.

Salary:
$50.00-$65.00 per hour
