Posting Title- CLK 09R - Administrative Assistant- Position Classification- Clerk R9- Union- GEU- Location- Vancouver, BC V6B 0N8 CA (Primary)- Salary Range- $45, $51,427.75 annually- Close Date- 3/8/2023- Job Type- Regular Full Time- Temporary End Date- Ministry/Organization- BC Public Service -> Attorney General- Ministry Branch / Division- Public Guardian & Trustee- Job SummaryTo provide a wide range of administrative support services to the branch including receiving, reviewing and validating incoming submissions, composing correspondence and other written materials, researching and summarizing client file information, opening and distributing mail and providing general advice and service to clients, family members, stakeholders and the general public.
Job Requirements:
- Secondary school graduation or equivalent (GED)
- Experience providing customer or client service, carrying out legal, administrative and/or financial duties and responding to client needs in a professional manner in an office setting.
- Experience/training working with Microsoft office products and data entry.
Preference statement:
- Experience working directly or in person with vulnerable populations (e.g. vulnerable adults, persons with disabilities, children, heirs and beneficiaries and individuals with language, behavioural and/or cognitive barriers)
- Completed Office Administration courses
- One or more years of experience providing customer or client service, carrying out legal, administrative and/or financial duties and responding to client needs in a professional manner in an office setting.
- Successful completion of security screening requirements of the BC Public Service, and an enhanced security clearance check as required by the PGT.
About this Position:
There is currently one permanent full time position as a Private Committee Services Administrative Assistant available in Vancouver.
A flexible/hybrid telework agreement may be available.
An eligibility list may be established to fill future permanent and/or temporary vacancies in similar positions.
