    Within the Ministry of Children and Family Services there are four Campus Based Treatment Centres that provide 24-7 campus-based care to adolescents with significant trauma-related issues. Programs include both Intensive Treatment and Secure Services in the following facilities:

    Are you looking for an exciting and challenging opportunity to make a difference in the field of Child & Youth Care? Lac La Biche Youth Centre is a campus-based treatment centre for youth with significant or severe emotional and behavioural issues. We are currently recruiting to multiple Program Supervisors – (Child & Youth Care Worker 3) position.

    As a Program Supervisor your responsibilities includes:

  • You will ensure treatment programs are consistent with ministry objectives and business plan goals and that resources, policies, and quality control processes support program delivery
  • This may also include input into existing program policies and procedures, developing new programs, and ensuring they are implemented and followed appropriately by all staff.
  • You will be responsible for evaluation and development of new and existing programs as well as the supervision and overall functioning of various programs which includes operational decision making for 2 -10 bed programs with 6 direct team leader reports, along with supervision of other centre programs as assigned by the Manager or the Associate Director.
  • This involves managing performance, establishing performance expectations, conducting performance reviews based on observable performance, and completing annual assessments within designated time frames. Participating in the recruitment process may also a responsibility of this position.
  • To be successful, you understand team dynamics and are able to work in a collaborative manner among multi-faceted teams. Sound problem solving; critical thinking skills, knowledge of change managements, decision-making and conflict resolution skills are key. An ability to assimilate information and communicate effectively verbally and in writing is essential.

    You have a sound knowledge of therapeutic modalities applicable to the clients. An in-depth knowledge of CAC Standards, Outcome Evaluations, Best Practices, and Program Development is essential. A sound knowledge and integration of agency philosophy, values, objectives, goals, policies and procedures as well as Regional & Human Services Ministry objectives is an asset.
