Imperial Dade Canada, leading national distributor, has a job open in Mississauga.

Reporting to the Human Resources Director (Canada), the Human Resources Generalist Eastern Canada, is the strategic partner and is the face of HR for the leaders and team they support.

The HR Generalist will perform both hands-on and strategic support in providing human resources expertise in the areas of management, organizational development, and labour/employee relations.

This role is also responsible for the successful rollout of HR programs within the business. The HR Generalist - Eastern Canada is responsible for providing support to 7 locations within 4 provinces.

Responsibilities:


  • Support the business and leaders
  • Responsible for leading workforce planning for the business unit and partnering to resolve people issues and challenges within the business.
  • Facilitate and/or support business units specifically with onboarding, employee engagement, leaves.
  • Partner with HR peer and management in the administration of attendance management programs, Early and Safe Return to Work programs, provincial Workers Compensation boards and Disability Leaves.
  • Prepare documents for updating HR management system and Payroll department.
  • Educate leadership team and team member population on employment practices, including personnel actions, benefits, salary/compensation guidelines, performance management processes.
  • Responsible for preparation, human rights hearings and WC appeals
  • Partner with the management teams to continually evaluate and develop all team members within the organization

Qualifications:


  • Ability to understand business goals and recommend new approaches, to effect continual improvements in business objectives and productivity.
  • A true handson approach as well as the ability to successfully monitor the "pulse" of the team members to ensure a high level of employee engagement.
  • Being an enthusiastic team player with a strong drive to create a positive work environment.
  • Key strengths are recognized as flexibility, excellent communication skills and significant internal drive and desire to be successful.
  • Strong solutions focus and comfortable working in an environment which demands strong deliverables along with the ability to identify problems and drive appropriate solutions.
  • Strong internal and external customer service focus.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
  • Strong written, verbal communication and facilitation/presentation skills.
  • Knowledge of provincial legislations in Eastern Canada.
  • 5+ years of HR Generalist experience.
  • Post secondary education in Business Administration or related discipline.
  • Certified Human Resources Professional designation (CHRP) desired
