Description
Position Overview At Davey, your office is the outdoors. You'll have a chance to do what you love each workday, and your team will have your back.Whether you're working independently or as part of a crew, you'll be given the training, resources and flexibility to do your job – and to do it safely, every day.
The pay rate for this position is$23 to $30 per hour depending on experience and education.Pruning, thinning, and removing deadwood in the canopy of the trees at various heights.
Installation of cables, bracing and lightning protection systems.
Properly maintain, prepare, and operate all tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
Assist the trimmers and foreperson in job site setup, debris removal and cleanup.
Abide by Davey and industry safety policies and procedures.
Understanding and implementation of the process of safely ascending tree canopies at all heights.
Valid provincial driver's license.
Licensed to drive a 5-ton vehicle and Airbrake endorsement considered an asset.
Strong tree, knot and shrub identification skills.
Preferred background in Forestry, Horticulture or Landscaping.
Davey provides ongoing training and career advancement opportunities.
