Market Specialist - Digital Recruitment (International)


Reporting to the Director International Recruitment, the Market Specialist-Digital Recruitment is responsible for the design, creation and support of digital recruitment programs to support expansion and growth of international student enrolment.

The incumbent is responsible for delivering digital recruitment tactics that coincide with recruiting, marketing and business needs for the various different regional markets as well as for the Mohawk international brand.


Responsibilities:

The duties of this position include, but are not limited to:

Digital Recruitment and Marketing

  • Works independently across international markets conducting market analysis and implementing plans for marketing and recruitment specific to different regions of the world
  • Identifies opportunities to partner with and enhance current collaborations with international recruitment platforms to achieve regional enrollment targets, support conversion communications and enhance Mohawk's presence on these platforms.
  • The incumbent recommends and implements new advertising campaigns, promotional materials and has a sound knowledge of CRM and online marketing.
  • The incumbent is responsible for the design and delivery of prospective student
communications through the use of College's CRM system

  • Partner with recruitment team to develop specific digital strategies and identify requirements for all creative assignments, including: banner ads, landing pages, mobile sites/apps and website development.
  • Recommend, optimize and manage all digital campaign activity for the Mohawk College international brand along with supporting regional market activity which could include but is not limited to: third party digital campaigns, search engine marketing and advertising

Analytics and Reporting

  • Continually monitor and suggest improvements for the usability, content and conversion points of the Mohawk International website to support department objectives. This will liaise with Mohawk Marketing department.
  • Use analytic tools to track, monitor and optimize digital presence and campaigns based on historical performance.
  • Analyze current best practices in integrated media campaigns as well as future directions made possible by emerging technology.
  • Benchmark digital activities against those of our peers in the industry; improve digital marketing strategy and tactics to "get ahead of the curve".

Social Media Engagement

  • Responsible for the design and delivery of engagement activities across social media platforms, including delivering key messages and encouraging engagement from potential and current students and alumni across Mohawk International channels.
  • Assist in the development of specific regional market social media strategies in collaboration with other members of the recruitment team.
  • Align social media goals to overall recruitment strategies and create a flow of information to ensure effective and timely responses to questions/comments by social media community members.

Public Relations and Communications

  • The incumbent may be required to represent the College overseas as well as locally. This involves meetings with the Canadian diplomatic missions overseas as well and their target community in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area (GTHA). He/she may be in contact with government agencies as required when lobbying on behalf of the college.

Qualifications:


  • 3year College Diploma or University Degree
  • 5 years of experience in a similar position; Work experience, marketing or recruitment department of a Canadian postsecondary institution is required. Some experience with international students, and/or international marketing and recruitment is also required.
  • The incumbent is an innovator and passionate about digital recruitment, eager to identify and implement trends to optimize campaigns and provide direction across all platforms. Proficiency in graphics, web advertising and social media is a must. The incumbent is required to have the ability to work within and utilize the College's customer relationship man
