Your role

  • CBC/Radio-Canada's Shared Services Centre (SSC) is a reliable, onestop resource that provides quality, timely and consistent service while focusing on delivering an excellent client experience to all employees, vendors and clients.
  • As the Administrative Support
  • Level 2, you play an important role within the Financial Services of the department.
  • This department is responsible for:


  • Account Receivables;-

  • Billing;-
  • Account Payables;-
  • Administration of the corporate credit cards program.
  • The role is mainly but not limited to the following responsibilities:
  • Accounts Receivables operations.-
  • Collect, accounts receivable invoices from various debtors so that the Corporation receives any amounts owed to it in a timely manner

Key Tasks:


  • Review the status of debtor accounts to determine amounts due, in light of payment methods, contractual agreements, etc. Drawing on your expertise and judgment, you will recommend various collection alternatives based on current practices.
  • Clear, post and reconcile payments received either by cheque, electronic transfer or credit card.
  • Review aging reports, reconcile accounts and process journal entries.
  • Ensure communication with the sales department and other stakeholders
  • Performs other duties as required to support the overall SSC Financial Services department, which may include but not limited to credit card management, account payables and billing.
  • Postsecondary education in accounting, finance or Business Administration or equivalent.
  • A minimum of at least 2 years of experience in a related field or similar organization.
  • Fluency in English and French is mandatory.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both official languages.
  • Solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounting receivables principles.
  • Knowledge of SAP (Asset).
  • Advance knowledge of Excel (pivot tables, functions and data handling) and Microsoft products.
  • Ability to work with large data files
  • Attention to detail, strong concentration skills required.
  • Good analytical skills and strong ability to solve a variety of problems.
  • Strong judgement, initiative and resourcefulness.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Good organizational skills, ability to manage several priorities and meet multiple, tight deadlines.
  • Discretion, diplomacy and tact in communications with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality at all times.
  • Excellent customer service skills and good team player.
