is recruiting for a field-based Regional Medical Education Manager, Ontario East - Rheumatology & Dermatology, to support the Ontario East Region.


The Regional Medical Education Manager (RMEM) develops the regional medical education strategy and contributes to the National Medical Education Strategy.

They are responsible for driving regional needs assessments and identifying local and regional insights on educational gaps and HCP learning needs, in order to contribute to the National Education Strategy for their Therapy Area.

The RMEM leads development of the GTM (go-to-market) plans alongside the Medical Science Liaison in the region.

The RMEM will coordinate the medical event execution by Territory Managers and help identify local congress opportunities, in alignment with laws, regulations, policy, and Corporate Compliance.

The RMEM will identify field alliances for execution and coordinates executional excellence of the national and regional medical education tactics in alignment with the strategic plans.


Key Responsibilities:


Regional Education Leadership

  • Develops the Go-ToMarket regional education plan
  • Lead all aspects of the execution of educational assets in field
  • Optimize educational offerings in the region
  • Partner closely with MSL to meet with speakers to ensure alignment to scientific narrative and pre and post event follow up
  • Responsible for execution of OLAs, NVP/IVP medical events and regional congress symposia operations
  • Coordinate event wrapup and evaluation including insight feedback to NMEM
  • Conduct quarterly regional insight analysis to NMEM and RBM (Pod/Triad as needed)

Field Logistics Leadership

  • Management of all aspects related to the tactical execution of a medical education event
  • Ensures the tracking and reporting of events in alignment with compliance and POA plan for the asset

Compliance and Medical Education Subject Matter Authority

  • Understands the needs of the region for medical education
  • Responsible for event closure, post event evaluation summaries and postevent follow up with the speaker

Regional Business Readiness

  • Supports the TA medical education strategies and execution for each educational event

Qualifications:


Education:


  • A University Degree is required

Experience and Skills:


Required:

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, or medical education field or educational field is required
  • Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulated standards (IMC Code of Ethical Practices, ICH GCP, cGMPs, or Pharmacovigiliance standards) and experience working with Health Care Compliance functions is required
  • Experience with internal policies and systems, including iCEM is required
  • Proficiency in metrics and reporting, creating dashboards and scorecards, and communicating complex information at the right tone and breadth is required
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project, Visio, PowerPoint, Adobe Acrobat, Google Analytics, and strong ability to learn other technology quickly is required

Preferred:

  • Demonstrated experience of organizational change and adoption is strongly preferred

Other:

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with ability to showcase leadership of crossfunctional project team members
  • Monitors ongoing events in the region to ensure compliant offerings.
  • Tracks event metrics to provide feedback and insights to NMEM, RBM and/or TM.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of key regulations, policies and industry codes applicable to healthcare compliance for pharmaceutical companies in Canada.
  • Partner closely with the Health Care Engagement, Digital MEM, Operations MEM, to optimize process flow for educational assets and ensure alignment with all policies.
  • This role is fieldbased and may require 2530% domestic travel
