Position Summary:


Are you passionate about finance and want to be a Portfolio Administrator? As the Portfolio Administrator you will provide accurate and timely back-office support to the firm regarding all investment products involved in end-to-end trade processing.

You will create effective and efficient solutions independently as well as work with Planning and Project teams to meet objectives.

This position is located in Vancouver and is a 12-month contract position.


As a Portfolio Administrator, your main responsibilities will involve:

  • Daily monitoring of custom programs for new Portfolio Management recommendations.
  • Review Portfolio Manager recommendations and input trades into trade ticket systems.
  • Your high level of attention to detail ensures that trading is accurate and timely.
  • You follow up to confirm trade settlements.
  • Identify issues and assist in determining corrective action.
  • Scanning and updating Portfolio Management recommendation documents for trading group.
  • You will assist the firm in meeting its compliance requirements.
  • You will work with the team on projects and other duties as assigned from timetotime based on changing business environment and priorities.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends.

As a Portfolio Administrator, your skills and qualifications will include:

  • Post-secondary education or related experience.
  • Investment education and an interest in the financial services administration field.
  • Two years backoffice experience.
  • You have a high accuracy rate when entering data into the system.
  • You pay close attention to detail and are observant.
  • You anticipate problems and solve them actively.
  • You have strong analytical and mathematical ability.
  • You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal).
  • High degree of professionalism and maturity.
  • Ability to take direction and accept responsibility.
  • You have strong time management skills, particularly the ability to prioritize a multitude of tasks.
  • You are legally eligible to work in Canada for any employer.
