As our Senior Business Partner, you will be a strategic and trusted partner to the business, building consultative and long-term relationships with internal client groups at Nicola Wealth.

    Your collaborative and consultative approach combined with strong subject matter expertise enables you to bring best-in-class practices to the table, including the use of data to advise and shape our people and culture strategies and business decision making.


    As a Senior Business Partner, you will:

    Serve as a strategic partner to our Operations teams including our Finance, Information Technology, Business Transformation, Operations, and Office Services teams developing and driving the overall people strategy in partnership with the leaders in your client groups.

    Be a leader in the business and a change agent for our people and culture work, driving continuous improvement and demonstrating how people and culture can be elevated and optimized to support our organization's goals and strategies.

    Be the face of our People and Culture team to your client groups, ensuring that our people and culture services and resources are delivered seamlessly, in a client focused way to support the attraction, engagement, well-being and development of our people.

    Take a consultative approach to understand and analyze issues, and proactively make recommendations on a range of talent and leadership issues, and business strategies.

    Be a proactive and strategic talent development partner, supporting the identification and development of our people.

    Partner with your Talent Development colleagues to deliver solutions that ensure the business has strong bench strength, development plans and succession plans in place for senior and critical roles.

    Work collaboratively with our People & Culture team including our Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Internal Communications and People and Culture Operations teams to deliver integrated solutions to the business.

    Be an 'all-in' team player on our high performing, caring, and collaborative People and Culture team.

    Actively analyze people and culture data and share insights back with the business to shape and elevate people related strategies, planning and initiatives.

    Participate in planning and implementing various people and culture-related projects (in areas including mergers & acquisitions, disability management, workplace policies, wellbeing, DEI, etc.)

    Lead the coordination and delivery of annual people and culture activities including performance planning, talent reviews and the compensation cycle, and operational activities (e.g., drafting employment letters, disability management, etc.)

    You're a strong communicator – both written and verbal – with comfort giving presentations to a senior level audience.

    Your experience and qualifications will include:

    Minimum of 10 years of experience across several HR / P&C subject areas including several years as a P&C / HR PartnerBachelor's degree in a related disciplineCPHR or equivalent certificationYou are legally eligible to work in Canada for any employerExperience and skills as a coach or using a coaching approach, and using talent assessments for selection and talent development is an assetExperience using Ceridian Dayforce, WorkDay, Greenhouse and PowerBI are also an assetCompensation And Benefits PackageAt Nicola Wealth, our people grow our business, delight our clients and live our values every day.

    This position comes with a competitive base salary hiring range of $120,000 - $140,000 dependent on experience, skills, qualifications and internal equity.
