Roles and Responsibilities
- Help to develop and implement policies and standardized procedures to ensure data accuracy, security, proper internet use, ethics, and sustainable technology practices
- Develop process improvements and recommend new technology for increased productivity, efficiency, system integration, and costeffectiveness
- Manage software and hardware installations and upgrades
- Track and monitor the security of hardware and software systems
- Perform periodic maintenance and servicing
- Provide support for OS issues, network problems, and software installations
- Support regulatory, and client audits to provide information about systems and how they are compliant with regulatory, security, recovery, confidentiality, and ethical requirements
- Prepare hardware and software for virtual and inperson conferences and meetings
- Assist with the implementation of new systems to support research operations
- Any other work that falls under the mission and vision of AGADA, as requested by company leadership.

- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Motivation to learn about industryspecific requirements and research endpoints
- Team leadership skills for promoting staff adoption of systems and adherence to new policies and protocols
- Demonstrated ability to be proactive, highly organized, and capable of multitasking, along with qualities to handle a fastpaced environment and ongoing change typical of the biotech industry
- The ability to assess technology products and services aligned with enduser priorities
- A demonstrated ability to learn new software languages and creative ability on user interface
- Knowledge and passion for OpenSource
- Familiar with both Microsoft domain environments and Linux Servers (ideally have experience with both Debian and RedHat based systems)
- Solid understanding of Microsoft Office Suite of products, especially Excel, with the ability to troubleshoot macros, pivot tables, and custom formulas
- Great attention to detail, the ability to successfully troubleshoot issues and provide excellent customer service to the rest of AGADA staff.
Qualifications and Education
- Minimum education requirement is an Information Technology Diploma or Bachelor of Computer Science from a Canadianrecognized university or college
- IT or programming industry experience is an asset
- SQL programming is an asset
- Project management certifications are an asset
