Background & Purpose of the Job

  • Help us "Bring Out the Best" Unilever is recruiting for a Packaging Technician at our Rexdale facility where we produce Hellmann's Mayonnaise.
  • You will work under the direction of the Production Supervisors in the Manufacturing Department. You will be responsible for all aspects of line operation including Cleaning, Changeovers, Lubrication and Troubleshooting according to an established procedure, at a set pace while adhering to all safety regulations. You will inspect the products and complete required quality checks and necessary forms.

Come to work in an environment with a strong bias towards safety and action, operate machine(s), keeping watch for any malfunction.

Responsible for maintaining quality and quantity of product as set by Quality Assurance and packaging Production Standards. Inspect product according to production specifications, and quality standards. Manage changeovers as necessary, using basic hand tools when necessary as well as cleaning and sanitization.

What You'll Need To Succeed- High School Diploma Knowledge of WHMIS, LOTO, GMP 2-3 years Manufacturing Experience in a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods Company preferred IT Skills - Competent in the use of machine data and control systems Ability to perform basic mathematical equations Basic mechanical knowledge and comfort using hand tools HACCP Trained an asset- Unilever Canada is an organization committed to diversity and inclusion to drive our business results and create a better future every day for our diverse employees, global consumers, partners, and communities.
