Work Arrangements:
This is a hybrid role.

You will work in our office in Waterloo, ON a minimum of two (2) assigned, consecutive days every other week, plus a fifth (5th) assigned day per month.

You are welcome to work from the office more than the minimum requirement and there may be some roles that are required to work in our office more than the minimum requirement.

What you will be doing:


  • Be part of a dynamic IT team that provides first level operational support of Enterprise Content Management solutions and provides initial triage of business system issues and enhancement requests.
  • Perform quality assurance testing, including creation and execution of test strategies, test plans, executing test cases and defect management, to ensure solution quality and functional acceptability.
  • Partner with technical members of the team to determine use cases and finalize solution approach. Clearly document solutions into a functional technical specification document that successfully translates requirements into a solution that is consumable by business and IT Developers.
  • Engage and collaborate closely with business teams, senior ECM team members and other IT teams to identify and drive opportunities for improvement and business efficiencies.

What you will bring:


  • Minimum 5 years' experience as an IT Business Systems Analyst in the insurance or financial sector.
  • Excellent communication and documentation skills. The ability to translate complex ideas in simple language for nontechnical audiences and skilled at documenting business processes into use cases or user stories.
  • Highly processdriven and detailedoriented. Excel at optimizing process and thinking logically.
  • Experience with enterprise workflow, queue management or business process automation technologies will be an asset (e.g., Hyland's OnBase solution).
  • Teamoriented and skilled in working within a collaborative environment. Strong interpersonal and partnership building skills; can reach out and engage a variety of individuals.
  • General IT knowledge including basic understanding of integration API/Webservices, networks and active directory.
  • Postsecondary education in computer science, management information systems or information science, and/or equivalent working experience.
  • Good understanding of the IT solution delivery lifecycle (systems environments, quality assurance and change management).
  • Working knowledge of SQL/Access queries and Microsoft Office Suite.
