Description

The HR Administrator provides support and is involved in various aspects of HR but primarily focuses on benefits administration and security clearance administration.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Benefits enrolment and administration: health, dental, and Life
  • Shortterm and longterm disability claims processing
  • Updating the vacation management system
  • Maintaining employee files (data entry and paper filing)
  • Completing orientation paperwork with new hires
  • Completing, updating, and submission of security clearance requests
  • Complete and file compliance reports
  • Maintaining company policies, recommending, and providing input to new policies as needed
  • Provide support during employee events

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Office environment, long periods of sitting may be required
  • Working in the office is required (not a workfromhome position)
  • 40hour work week (7:30am to 4:30pm)
  • Occasionally visiting employee work sites
  • Regular exposure to emotional employees and emotional issues

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Business Administration diploma majoring in Human Resources preferred or an additional 2 years of related experience
  • Working towards or completion of CHRP designation or Human Resources Certificate preferred
  • Intermediate level Excel skills required
  • Customer service mindset required
  • Experience with SuccessFactors or Halogen is an asset
  • Experience working in an office environment is an asset
