    Description

    We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced BI/Tableau Architect to join our client, an established employer in Alberta.

    As a BI/Tableau Architect, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our business intelligence (BI) solutions, with a focus on Tableau. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements, develop data strategies, and ensure effective governance of our data assets.

    This is a 1 year contract to start - hybrid in Edmonton.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and architect end-to-end BI solutions, leveraging Tableau and other relevant tools, to meet business objectives and drive decision-making.
    • Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, and reports in Tableau, ensuring optimal performance, usability, and scalability.
    • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, define KPIs, and translate them into actionable insights.
    • Establish and enforce data governance policies and procedures to ensure data integrity, security, and compliance.
    • Lead efforts to optimize data integration, storage, and processing pipelines for efficient data delivery and analysis.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
    • Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in BI, analytics, and data management.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
    • years of experience as a BI/Tableau Architect or a similar role, with a proven track record of designing and implementing BI solutions.
    • Extensive experience with Tableau Desktop, Server, and Online, including data visualization, dashboard development, and administration.
    • Strong understanding of data architecture, data modeling, and ETL processes, preferably with experience in data warehousing and big data environments.
    • Demonstrated expertise in data strategy development, including data governance, metadata management, and data quality assurance.
    • Proficiency in SQL and other query languages for data manipulation and analysis.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
    • Tableau certification(s) (e.g., Tableau Desktop Certified Professional) is a plus.
    • Experience with other BI tools (e.g., Power BI, QlikView, Looker) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) is desirable.
