What you will be doing:
- Assists with the development and introduction of tools to continually streamline the store planning and construction rollout process along with monitoring project progress and timelines.
- Reviews store plans with Project Managers and Store Planners prior to the start of each project to determine project needs and project timelines.
- Onsite visits with Project Managers to fully understand project requirements and provides ongoing critical support to various partners to ensure project delivery on time and on budget.
- Requests quotes from various vendors in a timely manner and request for revisions on quotes as required. Confirm quotes with Project Managers and obtain approvals for ordering fixtures.
- Creates and issues purchase orders (PO's) on approved quotes, taking lead times into account and ensure fixtures can be delivered in a timely manner. Create contract PO's for General Contractors.
- Acts as the first point of contact for all vendor related transactions. This includes answering vendor queries, reconciling vendor accounts and setting up of new vendors.
- Determines when all store fixtures are needed on the construction site and coordinates all delivery orders between vendors and freight companies to ensure ontime delivery of fixtures and resolve any errors or omissions.
- How you will succeed:
- University degree or college diploma in related areas such as Construction and Design, procurement, purchasing, fixture and equipment, construction contracts and business administration.
- 5 years working experience in related project coordination, construction and architectural drawings, store planning, budgeting and scheduling.
- Working knowledge of the operating practices of construction, architectural and project management, scheduling and project tracking, Finance, Accounts Payable,
- Excellent computer skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Projects, Adobe, Microsoft Office. Working knowledge of JDE is an asset.
- Excellent communication/presentation skills required: verbal, written and visual
- Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities and dealing with ambiguity.
