Job description


We are seeking a FT Supervisor who will lead a team of Navigators in providing services to vulnerable members in the community.

We are committed in helping people that are experiencing homelessness and poverty transition toward and maintain sustainable and healthy lifestyles.


The Wellness Advocate/Navigator Supervisor will oversee a team of Navigators that will work with Edmonton Police Service to provide community-based services to all community members based on referrals made by frontline Police officers and assist them in supporting vulnerable people.


As supervisor, you will be responsible for:

Responsibilities:


  • Provide leadership and coordination to a team of Navigators.
  • Responsible for ongoing direction, guidance, and supervision of staff, as well as our clients that require our services.
  • Encourage Navigators to integrate cultural resources to help support community members needs as needed.
  • Possess knowledge of community resources to suggest to their team.
  • Build positive relationships with our partnerships.
  • Maintain effective crossfunctional relationships with staff, colleagues, and partners.
  • Responsible for "on call" services every 3 to 4 weeks.
  • Work effectively with all other supervisors on other leadership teams.

Qualification Requirements:


  • Degree or diploma in a Human Services field is a must i.e. Social Work, Child & Youth Care, Education, etc.
  • Three or more years working with community.
  • Three or more years of supervision experience.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with good oral and written communication.
  • Knowledge of database systems is a must
  • Must have a valid driver's license and willing to obtain a drivers abstract
  • Must have 2milliondollar liability insurance coverage
  • Current (within 6 months) Criminal Record and Child & Family Intervention Checks, and Driver's Abstract is required prior to starting employment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Salary and Benefits:


  • Paid sick and wellness days after 3 months' probation (prorated)
  • Extended Health Benefit (50/50 cost sharing) after 6 months' employment.
  • Working approximately 34.5 hours per week

Salary: $60, $63,525.00 per year
