The Corrections Division (Manitoba Corrections) helps protect society by enforcing orders and sentences given by the courts. We manage offenders with appropriate control, supervision and support. We provide programs and services that help offenders learn to become productive members of society.

Qualifications:
Essential:
- Experience performing a full range of administrative/clerical duties including but not limited to experience drafting correspondence, providing reception, assessing and responding to inquiries and file maintenance.
- Experience in maintaining physical and electronic filing systems
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Excellent written communication skills
- Effective organization and time management skills with the ability to prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
- Experience working with confidential information and handling sensitive materials
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Effective problem solving and decision making skills
- Effective interpersonal skills
Desired:
- Successful completion of a recognized secretarial/administrative training program
- Experience using CCAIN, COMS and other Justice related databases
Duties:
Under the supervision of the Area Director, the position is responsible for day to day secretarial services to the unit.
This position is responsible for office organisation and administration, management of case files and responding to queries from clients and external agencies; scheduling appointments and meetings; and reception duties.
