    Be our next Junior Engineering Designer (Traffic)

    EXP's Transportation Group is currently seeking a Junior Engineering Designer (Traffic) to support our growing team in Brampton, ON.

    In this role, you will be a part of the Transportation team, of the Transportation and Infrastructure sector, based in Brampton, ON office and can work on various Civil/Municipal projects.

    Prepare preliminary Civil / Municipal design and coordination including Extensive CAD and Engineering Design support.
    Conduct field visits during the design development and construction process.
    Coordinate project drawings with designers, project managers, CAD staff, and others.
    Contribute to proposal development (preparing schedules, conducting project research, preparing cost estimates).
    Ensure that the needs of the project are met in a timely and effective manner.
    Occasionally, may need to conduct site inspections and contract administration duties.
    Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized University.
    ~2 to 5 years of relevant experience, preferably with an Ontario consulting engineering firm.
    ~ Familiarity with Municipal, Provincial, and Federal Standards.
    ~ Experience in preliminary and detailed design drawing preparation associated with Municipal and MTO transportation infrastructure projects.
    ~ Computer software skills including AutoCAD Civil 3D, Inroads, Openroads, MicroStation, Word, Excel & MS.
    ~ Familiarity with various Municipal & Provincial design and drafting standards.
    ~ An ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities and projects.
    ~ Familiar with preparing tender documents and specifications packages is an asset.
    ~ Familiarity with Environmental Assessment requirements and processes is an asset.
