    Description

    Applications are invited for an experienced administrative professional to join our team as a full-time Administrative Assistant to the Office of Indigenous Initiatives.

    As an organized, detail-oriented professional, the Administrative Assistant is the initial point of contact within the office, providing general administrative support to the Office of Indigenous Initiatives.

    This position includes a broad range of administrative functions, such as; website maintenance; coordinating and logistical planning of events; expense and department budget processing and monitoring; and assisting with various initiatives and projects within the Office of Indigenous Initiatives, along with other relevant duties as assigned.

    To be considered, candidates must have a one (1) year certificate in Office Administration or similar program and have at least three (3) years' experience in a similar role.

    Candidates must be experienced in Indigenous ways of knowing and being and have demonstrated experience engaging with members of the Indigenous community in culturally appropriate ways.

    Experience working in a post-secondary institution, in the public sector, and/or a unionized environment is an asset.

    Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week.
