Business Systems Analyst (ServiceNow experience is a must)


What is the opportunity?


Are you an individual who is interested in making an impact to a platform used across the entire enterprise? Are you also looking to work in an agile environment which can provide the opportunity to utilize or enhance your cross-disciplinary skills? The Sr Business Systems Analyst partners with IT and assigned business line(s) to assess, research, analyze, develop and document business and systems needs to support the myMarketPlace UX and Enablement team which is committed to improving user satisfaction and efficiency within the ServiceNow platform.


This individual will be able to work across multiple disciplines - business analysis, development, and quality assurance to augment their day-to-day tasks and assist the team holistically.


What will you do?

  • Perform requirements stakeholder analysis to identify impacted or influencing groups and stakeholder requirements responsibilities; develop plans and accurate estimates for completion of requirements, continuously improving the level of detail and accuracy of estimates; manage risks, assumptions and constraints for requirements, and communicate to appropriate parties; define the business analysis approach including tasks and deliverables based on the project and delivery methodology; lead requirements prioritization and leverage techniques to drive out business priorities; facilitate collaborative sessions with large and diverse business stakeholder groups to drive requirements discovery, analysis, and review
  • Support the development of the enduser documentation and training; provide guidance and support to build the capabilities of the other team members and colleagues; support the consistency of standards and adherence to enterprise requirements methodology within own BA team; effectively communicate and build rapport with team members and stakeholders
  • Leadership and Relationship Management
  • Identification and endtoend delivery of continuous improvements of processes
  • Will function in an agile team environment and may be involved in assisting in multiple roles executing test scripts and completing small to medium development tasks creating workflows utilizing ServiceNow orchestration, UI design, ACL, and business rules

What do you need to succeed?

Must haves

  • Proven experience with various project delivery methodologies such as Waterfall, Iterative and/or Agile
  • Experience in requirements planning and prioritization including stakeholder analysis and effort estimation
  • Requirements elicitation techniques such as Document analysis, Interviews, Facilitated workshops, Observation, Prototyping, Focus groups, Surveys and Documentation
  • Requirements management and communication requirements walkthroughs; scope and change management; traceability; configuration management, Backlog Management
  • Working experience with IT Development and IT Service Management processes
  • Working experience with ITIL best practices and procedures
  • General technical understanding/experience in a variety of hardware and software platforms

Nice to haves

  • HTML or HTML5, SQL, JAVA script
  • Experience driving requirements definition through Design Thinking exercises
  • Experience building and executing testing scripts
  • Experience as a technical analyst on hardware and software platforms
  • Working knowledge of ServiceNow
