About the Position:


The Bookkeeper will report directly to the Head of Accounting and be responsible for maintaining records of accounts, verifying the procedures used for recording financial transactions, and general bookkeeping duties.


Main Responsibilities:


  • Assist in maintaining the general ledger system, including preparing monthend journal entries, prepaid, accrued and fixed asset depreciation, as well as balance sheet reconciliation
  • Prepare subledger and bank account reconciliations
  • Assist with yearend reporting requirements, including tax returns
  • As required, prepare periodic financial reports and financial models for analytics
  • Assist with monthly inventory analyses and reconciliations
  • Assist the Senior Accountant with preparing monthly financial reports
  • Other duties as required, including ad hoc reporting and special projects

Skills and Qualifications:


  • University Degree or Diploma in Accounting or Financial
  • Excellent command of the English language, both written and verbally
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced, highpressure work environment while effectively managing to compete and changing priorities
  • Flexible and able to work effectively as a team player
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with Sage 50/300 or Microsoft Dynamics 365

  • Bookkeeping: 1 year (preferred)
