Your future role on our team


As a drafter, you will be contributing to projects related to mining processes, mechanics, industrial piping and plant systems (water, steam, compressed air).

You will participate in preparing various types of drawings, such as fluid flow diagrams (PFDs), piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs), fire protection diagrams and HVAC system diagrams.

You will work with our engineers, technicians and designers and will be responsible for various project layouts.

  • Help design 2D and 3D piping and mechanical drawings, under designer supervision.
  • Work on drawings in accordance with standards set by the firm and clients, on rough drafts and on diagrams using detailed sketches.
  • Help improve and maintain drafting processes and standards.
  • Provide support to team engineers, technicians and drafters in completing more complex tasks.
  • Interpret drawings, specifications and piping and instrumentation diagrams.
  • Prepare various instrumentation and control drawings or diagrams (AutoCAD).
  • Ensure compliance of drawings and drawing standards.
  • Correct drawings received for changes.

Overview of certifications and job requirements

  • Diploma of vocational studies in Building or Industrial Drafting or a diploma of college studies in Civil or industrial
  • Mechanical Engineering or in Architecture
  • Knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
  • Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD software
  • Asset: knowledge of CAD, SolidWorks, SmartPlant, CADWorx or Revit
  • Asset: bilingual (English and French)
