Brand Hub within the University of Toronto is responsible for marketing strategies and campaigns that lift U of T's profile, reputation, and relevance locally and globally and help secure greater interest, engagement, advocacy and investment in the university.

Using an in-house agency model, we work with divisional stakeholders to implement multichannel marketing communications solutions that support the University's highest aspirations and priorities.


Your opportunity:


Reporting to the Director, Digital Marketing & Communications, the Digital Project Manager is responsible for managing both special projects and ongoing projects with digital components under the portfolio of Brand Marketing University of Toronto Communications.

Specifically, the Digital Project Manager is responsible for ensuring all projects have detailed timelines, have clear deliverables for team members and are managed professionally with divisional stakeholders and central partners.

This individual will work closely and collaborative with creative team members including web developers, designers, copywriters and content strategists.

As part of an integrated team, this individual will work closely with account strategists to ensure digital components of projects run smoothly alongside of larger project plans.

In addition, this individual will work as a key member of the digital team to ensure day-to-day work is the highest quality and completed in a timely manner.


Your responsibilities will include:


  • Serve as senior level project manager responsible for guiding efforts to develop, manage and implement plans for overseeing digital projects.
  • Develop the scope and charter of the project
  • Develop a detailed work plan which identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project
  • Determine the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the project; secure and coordinate resources.
  • Develop a schedule for all digital projects that effectively allocates the resources to the activities, coordinating timing with designers, developers and copy writers
  • Proactively identify and mitigate project risk, and expeditiously resolve project issues
  • Run production meetings for digital projects including booking meetings, coordinating team members, developing agendas, sending action items and notes post meeting
  • Book and prepare for approval meetings with key stakeholders, attend meetings and take detailed notes to provide feedback for the production team post meeting
  • Ensure all internal stakeholders and senior University leadership are appropriately briefed prior to events and key communications activities
  • Analyze and document successes and adjustments to project implementation activities
  • Handling complex/or sensitive information (ex. development of statements of work, technical specifications & other project documentation)

Qualifications:


Essential Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum six years relevant experience on digital projects.
  • Experience developing complex multideliverable project timelines
  • Experience using project management software and tools.
  • Experience working with digital designers and web developers, understanding the tasks associated with their workflow and able to translate that into clear timelines.
  • Experience handling multiple concurrent projects with various deliverables and turnaround times.
