We are looking for a Network Analyst

Work Location:
(Onsite) Infrastructure Building, Street, Edmonton, AB


Must Have:

  • 7yr Network Analyst experience
  • Active CCNA Certification or equivalent (copy of certification must be included in submission).
  • Demonstrated handson experience with Cisco ACI including the planning, design, and implementation, of an intermediate to large scale network infrastructure.
  • Experience with Cisco layer 13 technologies, including the planning, design, and implementation, of an intermediate to large scale network infrastructure.
  • Direct involvement in developing bestpractices documentation (for example, operational procedures, network diagrams, etc.).
  • Handson experience with QOS across an Enterprise Class organization, which includes devices such as (Catalyst 6500 switches, Nexus 9K, 7K, and 5K, ISR (29xx and 4xxx Series), ASR routers series, Cisco switches 2960 and 3650/3850, 4500 and 9600 series, including the planning, design, and implementation.
  • Experience working with wireless networks.
  • Experience with networking aspects of Microsoft Windows desktop, servers, and nix based servers.
  • Experience providing customer service technical troubleshooting and problem resolution.

Responsibilities:


  • Achieve a high availability of IT network infrastructure and IT network services, by the government of Alberta, Technology Services, and Service Level Agreements.
  • Handson implementation, upgrading, and troubleshooting of network software and hardware infrastructure.
  • Manage and prioritize workload. Check and balance the workload against the team requirements, to result in a service delivery model characterized by crosstraining, workload sharing, and collaborative team effort.
  • Effective teamwork and proficient communication with team members and supported ministries.
  • Lead and/or participate in networking projects, and plan, design, implement, support, and document best practices.
  • Participate and contribute to crossfunction IT projects by providing technical IT networking knowhow and expertise.
  • Perform problem diagnosis, troubleshooting, and resolution.
  • Plan for software and hardware upgrades and/or migrations.
  • Develop and maintain documentation.
  • Develop networkrelated procedures.
  • Provide crosstraining and knowledge transfer to team members.
