We're looking for a Human Resources and Professional Development (HRPD) Advisor to provide support and expertise to their client group(s) and partner with the team to deliver HRPD programs that create a rewarding experience for employees.

Here's how a District HRPD Advisor for our Edmonton NAHQ office contributes to our team:


Responsibilities:


  • Owns the recruitment for assigned client group(s) by developing a recruitment plan and utilizing appropriate recruitment sourcing strategies.
  • Leads and advises client group(s) on HRPD programs, policies, and practices.
  • Participates in the district HRPD strategic planning process and leads the development, execution and evaluation of districtlevel projects initiatives as assigned (training plan, health and wellness etc.)
  • Provides guidance, coaching, and training on all aspects of career management.
  • Guides and coaching supervisors on employee relations issues, compensation, recruitment, performance improvement activities, workforce planning and training programs
  • Assists district HRPD manager with local market research and analysis for annual compensation review and owning the calibration of salary/ bonus review process for client group(s)
  • Develops and maintaining strong customerfocused relationships with all stakeholders within the district.
  • Oversees the student program strategy and maintaining strategic relationships with academic institutions.

Qualifications:


  • Postsecondary diploma or degree in human resources or a related discipline preferred.
  • Ability to deal with people and act tactfully and diplomatically with discretion when handling confidential information.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate, present ideas and content that influences a favorable outcome.
  • Demonstrated experience in training and facilitation.
  • Ability to research, analyze information and data, and make recommendations. Able to work independently or in a team environment in a highly matrixed organization.
  • Seen as a trusted advisor with the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers.
