Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our team. As a Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for smoothing and finishing concrete surfaces to complete construction projects. You may work on concrete floors, sidewalk, roads or curbs. Concrete finishers make sure that the concrete used on job sites is the desired pit, required form and depth.


Responsibilities:

You are responsible for wide range of duties that may change depending on the type of project they are working on:

  • Finishing sidewalk
  • Use Power Trowel and other finishing tools
  • Placing forms that hold concrete to ensure the required depth and pitch is achieved
  • Monitoring the effect heat, wind and cold have on curing concrete to ensure highquality results
  • Removing edges on expansion joints and sides
  • Installing anchor bolts, steel plates and other fixtures in freshly poured concrete
  • Polishing surfaces using smooth materials, abrasive tools and surfacing machines
  • Aligning forms for sidewalks, curbs and gutters
  • Waterproofing, damp
- proofing and restoring concrete surfaces

  • Compacting materials using power vibrators to create leveled bases
  • Signaling truck drivers and moving chutes to facilitate pouring concrete onto forms
  • Casting and spreading concrete to patch voids
  • Supervising and training workers to help them use special tools and to spread concrete

Skills & Qualifications:


  • Must have over 5 years of experience in finishing
  • Able to finish curb and sidewalk
  • Able to use power trowel and other finishing tools
  • Must have experience in Concrete Screed with 2x
  • Basic understanding of concrete forming
  • Must have a G license
  • Strong mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor for extended periods of time
