Description
Flair Woodworking is looking for a Painter / Finisher (Wood/Cabinetry Industry) to join our team.
Member of the Carpenters and Allied Workers Local 1072.
We are a millwork manufacturer, specializing in the high end crafted pieces and architectural millwork.
Salary depending on experience.


You will be expected to have a thorough knowledge of preparation, sanding, spraying, and polishing cabinetry using provided tools and state of the art paint booth to achieve a perfect finish on the product.


Job Requirements:
Prepare wooden and MDF surfaces for stain & lacquer finishes

Sand, prime, stain and/or spray millwork and cabinets

Maintain and clean equipment and work area

Touch up finished materials as required to produce an equal tone

Estimate and gather materials required for production

Perform routine quality control checks during receiving and shipping process

Package finished products

Changing exhaust fan and spray booth filters as required


Required Qualifications:
2-5 years of experience as a Finisher or Painter

Knowledge of millwork safety and regulations

Knowledge of conversion varnish, lacquer, paints, and glazes

Basic knowledge of carpentry

Knowledge of safe operation of hand and power tools

Knowledge of workplace safety and safe lifting and handling procedures


Schedule:

  • Day shift

Supplemental pay types:

  • Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Etobicoke, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

- carpentry: 1 year (preferred)
