The Training and skills coordinator is responsible for managing and coordinating activities related to the company's LMS platform.

He or she is responsible for the complete support and management of users, managers and administrators, as well as training within our learning platform.

His or her main role is to ensure the integrity and updating of training profiles and employee qualifications.

As the central point of contact, this professional establishes essential liaisons with various stakeholders, including training coordinators, the IT training team, human resources, the occupational health and safety department, as well as the supplier, to ensure the smooth running of the platform.


The responsibilities of an LMS coordinator may include:

  • Managing the learning management system while ensuring compliance with standards for assigning rights, managing employees, assigning courses, integrating new courses.
  • Create and maintain processes and documentation related to the overall management of the LMS.
  • Maintain qualification structure and training profiles.
  • Provide assistance to resolve problems encountered by learners and managers when using the platform.
  • Audit and monitor the accuracy of user and training data and training profiles in accordance with established procedures.
  • Ensure synchronization between platform data and other existing systems to ensure data integrity.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the maintenance of the training catalog and the conformity of training profiles.
  • Ensure that new training courses are assigned to learners in the appropriate training profiles and according to established codes.
  • Maintain the documents (documents section) in the LMS.
  • Support and coordinate the integration of new training courses into the LMS.
  • Maintain a continuous review process, gathering feedback and taking action to identify areas for improvement (e.g. adding new functionality or system updates).
  • Generate reports on training status, analyze discrepancies and participate with the team to reduce discrepancies related to compliance.
  • Assign rights and authorizations to users, managers and administrators.
  • Support platform users to optimize the use of the platform.
  • Interact directly with administrators, users and employees for any questions on platform use.
  • Interact directly with the service provider for any requests for functionality changes or technical support that cannot be resolved internally.
  • Ensure security of learner data and confidentiality of information.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • University degree in education, information technology, educational technology, human resources, project management or related field.
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in pedagogical technology or a related field.
  • Knowledge of learning management systems and other learning technologies.
  • Familiarity with elearning platforms and their configurations and functionalities.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills.
  • Ability to effectively plan, organize and prioritize tasks and data.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral (French and English).
  • Ability to manage projects related to elearning or LMS management.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and effectively in a team environment.
  • Customer service oriented.
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects/tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to transmit knowledge easily (good trainer)
  • Mastery of Office 360 suite
