Duties
:

The Program Manager reports to the Associate Dean, School of Nursing.

In this role, the Program Manager works in collaboration with the Associate Dean, program coordinators, professors and support staff for the cyclical planning of academic activity within the various programs in the School of Nursing to ensure the effective administration of academic operations and ongoing faculty support, particularly for non-full-time hires.

The Program Manager facilitates pathways with other educational institutions and external stakeholders and promotes School related activities.
Qualifications**- Post-secondary 3-year diploma/degree in Nursing and/or health care or related field

  • Master's degree in a related field is preferred
  • Minimum 7 years' experience in an academic setting and/or business management experience
  • An equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered; preference will be given to applicants meeting the education requirements
  • Supervisory experience would be an asset
  • Related experience within an academic setting including postsecondary teaching and/or curriculum management
  • Demonstrated management ability with excellent problemsolving, negotiation and communication skills
  • Demonstrated administrative background including budget responsibilities and supervisory responsibilities
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and organization skills, computer skills, project/operational management, leadership and supervisory skills
  • Ability to foster a teambased approach to operational planning and problemsolving
