About the Role:

Reporting
The Component Shop Technician reports directly to the Component Shop Supervisor.

Key Performance Indicators / Duties & Responsibilities

Perform disassembly and cleaning of aircraft components according to customer's specifications, airworthiness directives, applicable manufacturers' CMM guidelines and operating procedures.
Maintain current knowledge of and comply with customer and Transport Canada regulations as applicable to the work assigned.
Ensure familiarity with all shop equipment operations and their maintenance, able to understand component maintenance manuals and all other applicable technical documents.

Qualifications

Communication

- both verbal and written English language.

Must be able to write descriptive statements concerning the condition of the assemblies being worked on.
Ability to work as a team member.
Must have a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
Ability to use hand tools and mechanical experience.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs, bend, stoop, and stand for 8 to 10 hours.

Experience

Minimum 2 years' experience in related field with strong mechanical and/or mechanical background.
Mechanical experience in related field consider an asset, but not requied.
